Jakarta, September 17, 2025 – The Pre-Match Press Conference of the AQUA Futsal Four Nations Cup 2025 held at The Sultan Hotel & Residence Jakarta featured representatives from the four participating nations: Indonesia, the Netherlands, Latvia, and Tanzania. On this occasion, coaches and players expressed their readiness and expectations ahead of the tournament.
From Indonesia, Head Coach Hector Souto emphasized that the Garuda Muda squad is continuously progressing and aims for victory in every match.
“This is a new beginning towards the SEA Games. The players are working hard, and our target remains to play for the win,” he said.
This statement was reinforced by Mochammad Iqbal, a player from Indonesia’s national team, who is optimistic about the team’s preparation.
“The team’s condition is very good. Even though we’ve only been together for about a week, all the players follow the coach’s instructions. We are optimistic about winning. Thank you to AQUA for organizing the Four Nations Series, which is a valuable experience for the team.”
From the Netherlands, Head Coach Miguel Andrés Moreno stressed that this tournament is part of the process of evaluating the new generation. According to him, a good team is not only made up of the best players but those who complement each other. The Netherlands’ focus is to continue developing and providing valuable experience for players to become better.
From Latvia, Head Coach Massimiliano Bellarte viewed this tournament as a valuable challenge:
“I know Indonesia has good players and coaches. However, futsal demands players adapt to new situations. This is a good step and at the same time a valuable challenge for our team.”
Meanwhile, Tanzania’s Head Coach Curtis Darrel Reid expressed his delight in competing in Indonesia.
“Preparations have gone well so far. We are really enjoying our time in Indonesia—the atmosphere is fantastic, and the players are very enthusiastic about the matches,” he said.
