Jakarta (September 20, 2025) – The Indonesia national futsal team secured a convincing 5-1 victory over the Netherlands in the Aqua Futsal Four Nations Cup 2025 at GBK Basket Hall, Central Jakarta, on Saturday at 6:30 PM local time.
Indonesia’s goals were scored by Muhammad Syaifullah (1’, 17’, 23’), Firman Adriansyah (9’), and Muhammad Rizki Xavier (11’). The Netherlands managed to reply only once through Abdessamad Attahiri in the late minutes of the match (36’).
Netherlands Head Coach, Miguel Andres Moreno, emphasized that his team’s participation in this tournament is more about learning and player development. “We are playing in this tournament because we want to gain experiences that teach them how to compete at this level. So, I am very proud of them,” he said.
Meanwhile, Indonesia Head Coach, Hector Souto Vazquez, praised his team’s first-half performance but also highlighted the Netherlands’ strong resistance in the second half. “We played well in the first half, and I thought we would play even better in the second. But they didn’t give up, and I think the Netherlands were really good in the second half,” he stated.
Indonesia player, Muhammad Syaifullah, also expressed gratitude for the victory and stressed the importance of the coach’s role and teamwork in achieving positive results.
“Alhamdulillah, we were granted this win today, and Coach Hector’s instructions went smoothly. This victory also came from the team’s hard work. Hopefully, we can continue to grow and do even better in the future,” he said.
This result shows Indonesia’s readiness and consistency, while also strengthening their chances of becoming the tournament champion.
