Jakarta, September 21, 2025 – The Netherlands national futsal team put on a dominant display, recording a massive 14-2 victory over Tanzania in the AQUA Futsal Four Nations Cup 2025 at GBK Basket Hall, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (21/9) at 6:30 PM local time.
The Netherlands’ goals were scored by Boyd Marton Filemieg (4’, 21’), Ayoub Boukhari (13’), Oualid Tarifit (19’), Lukas Ramos Van (23’, 28’, 35’), Floris Matthijs K. (33’), Mohamed Chih (4’, 31’, 36’, 37’), and Abdessamad Attahiri (36’, penalty).
Tanzania’s two goals came from David Gasper Jan’gandu (27’) and Ishaka Said Mwinyi (34’), while an additional goal for the Netherlands was the result of an own goal by Tanzania’s Razaki Juma Mbegelendi (38’).
Tanzania Head Coach, Curtis Darrel Reid, said the match was a learning experience. “We came here for new experiences, and it truly gave us valuable lessons. The goals we scored today are a reward for the abilities of the players we have,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Netherlands Head Coach, Miguel Andres Moreno, praised his team’s spirit and seriousness. “This experience must continue to be built upon so that our level of play improves and our knowledge grows. I am quite pleased with the seriousness the players showed in today’s match,” he said.
With this result, the Netherlands secured third place in the final standings with three points, while Tanzania finished at the bottom without any points.
The tournament was made even more festive with a fun match featuring the Red Team, composed of TikTokers Timboi, Bayusimerah, Rizal, Paulo Dibola, and Ade Fitriya Hilda (Indonesia Women’s National Futsal Team player), against the White Team, featuring Kepusoccer, Telefooty, Menteri Bola, Kyle, and Nabila Ghassani (former professional women’s futsal player).
The closing ceremony will be enlivened by Oomleo feat Gilang. In addition, the Aqua Futsal Four Nations Cup 2025 also offered daily entertainment at the Fanzone, featuring games, merchandise, and culinary delights, making the tournament not only a sports event but also a vibrant festival.
